Plato's Allegory of the Cave: An adaptation in clay
1 year ago
This started out as an introduction to ascene in a feature length documentary. It has now taken on a bit of a life of it's own, showing in 100 or so festivals and it has won j10 or so festival awards. The clay artist was Jon Grigsby, and almost all of the 4,000 or so photos that make up the animation were lit by candlelight. Jon of course did all of the hard work.

i have made a song within my band which perfectly fits this topic....could i use it combined ?
I am not against the idea, but I do not own the rights to the film as I made it under contract as part of a documentary I was directing. If you would like, I can put you in touch with the producers..
great work, i just embedded it in my blog.
It is interesting that Plato came up with this. I have been reading about his philosophy recently and his philosophy seems to be the foundation for the mind dominated world we live in.
