I got my Canon 7D and Glidetrack last week and thought our Easter Break to Southerness would be a good time to try them both out.
Some of the footage was handheld and some used the Glidetrack which once I got the knack of is a great and very reasonably priced bit of kit. Mostly I was just wondering about the beach. This was more a mood piece and bit of experimentation over a weekend than any pretence at a proper film (there's, err, not much of a story :) but it really shows what these DSLRs can do even with only 2 hours hands on! The footage was a mix of 50fps and 25fps all conformed to 24fps and quickly edited in Final Cut Pro, grading was done using Magic Bullet looks, I made it pretty contrasty to set a mood but the raw footage looks really nice. Next stop get my full range of lenses on the case with a proper project!
Lense: Canon 28-135mm IS (f3.5)
Music: "To Build a Home" Ma Fleur
NB the Vimeo encode seems to be making the first and last shots jump back and forth, will try uploading another version.
