A foggy day at the Oregon Coast, near the town of Oceanside. I recorded the audio at the same spot using my point and shoot camera.

Pretty cool. Did you use any filters ?

I think I was using a circular polarizer to try and slow the shutter down.

Nice. You should do some at seaside.

I like the contrast in this video, but it looks like your shot was a little short in that it did not capture any advance or retreat in the tidal motion.

I'm just being a little pedantic on an otherwise good time lapse panning shot - no harm intended ;-)

Yeah well, it was cold out! You can't tell from the clip but alot of waves came close to splashing the camera, I think this one took 40 minutes and by the end I'd had enough :)

I don't blame you for packing up - it looks cold just watching the video clip, however, judging by the footage your clip turned out nice in the end :)

the best time to film tidal motion is usually around 2 hours before and one hour after the high tide mark, this is when the flow runs at it's fastest and a shallow shelving beach shows the most detail. Keep up the good work Andrew, I enjoy watching your clips.

    best wishes...

I was just there a week ago traveling Hwy 101. Unbelievable scenery. Thanks for this video. You captured the feeling for sure.

I like the fact that you did not use music for this piece.
    Very nice.

Would you mind listing your Motion Control rig? It seems that everything so far is kinda hacked when it comes to that with a DSLR... Thanks!

hey how did you do the camera movement? It was really smooth and I don't understand how it moved like that over so long of a time.
