Giraffe - Giraffa camelopardalis
Facts: Height: 4.5 – 5.8 metres. Weight : 800 – 1,900 kg
Habitat: Primarily wooded savannah or scrubland plains.
The giraffe lives on the African savannah south of the Sahara, which has the largest number of large mammals in the entire world. This is due to the ideal growth conditions for plants and the fact that each of the wide variety of animal species exploits different parts of the plants. As a result, many different animals can live in the same area.
