The Archive Project was born during New York Women in Film and Television's (NYWIFT) 25th Anniversary celebration. Its purpose is to document and preserve contributions by women to New York's film, television, and digital media industries since NYWIFT's inception.

The core of the archive will be videotaped interviews with women who have been professionally active in New York since 1977. Our goal is to find a home for the archive where it will be accessible to visitors and scholars.

We want to ensure that every NYWIFT membership category is represented. Interviews will follow a standard question protocol. Is there a woman you'd like to interview? nywift.org
