A quick test to try and get a clean frame out of my HV30 and a RNG35 Adapter. There seems to be a point where the HV30 can no longer focus on the ground glass in the adapter, unfortunately this is before the zoom has cleared the artifacts caused by the edge of the vibrating ground glass. Bummer.

    Did you adjust the focus again once you zoomed in? I know sometimes when I set up the adapter I focus, then zoom, then need to focus the HV30 again.

    yeah I did, I'm actually adjusting the focus wheel in the video alot of the time but it's at the limit so it looks like I'm not. Near the end I ease it off then on again and it can't focus any more.

    35mm Adapters are the devil.

    You must use an achromat lens.
    And after you'll can zoom enough !!

    That is with an achromat, problem is I think the lens is too strong maybe.

    So, you must have two achomat lens.
    Or use like me, achromat lens from binocular.
