Capt. Gerard Petroni video collage.
Here is a video you may enjoy.
After all of what we have learned, our hope is that parents can be there for their families and not have it end short due to High Blood Pressure / Hypertension. The Never Quit message is to help others avoid what we and millions of families deal with every year.
Enjoy the beautiful guitar music of America the Beautiful while watching a series of video collages of Capt. Gerard Petroni's life, his love for his family and dear wife Reidunn.
Gerard went Home to his Father on December 31, 2009 after his last brain bleed that occured on Dec 25th.
This video was shown during Gerard's memorial service at the Neptune Baptist Church on March 3, 2010.
It is so wonderful that we will be able to be together for eternity thanks to what Christ did for us. Good times are ahead but there is so much still left to do while we are here.
And, as for Dad, I am sure he is having a blast up in heaven, running around in his red shorts and asking Noah a hundred different questions and sharing sea stories together.
And for us... Please do get checked up for High Blood Pressure. Kids, convince your parents to do this, and all of us kids (no matter what age) lets do the same for ourselves.
With a pure bill of health, in all aspects, we can really save lives and keep families and loved ones together.
Always and most respectfully yours,
-Reidunn, Erik and family.
oh, and ps. at the end of the video is a scene from Australia where Dad and I went hiking and walking around all the different points along the beautiful coastline. Our family was living in the Panama Canal Zone at the time but Dad prior to visiting me in Australia (I was there surfing) was in Guam on Navy duty.
Every morning Dad always picked flowers for our mother "Mamma" and brought it to her with breakfast in bed.
However, the flowers could not be just any flower, they had to be flowers that were hard to find, or hard to get to.
In this last scene, you will see that the only flower he wants to pick for her is the yellow one right on the side of a very steep cliff, it was just that she was only worth something that had the most possible amount of effort put towards it.
In the original home movie he says to the camera:
"This is for you Mamma"
