This month Gina Turner brings you two representatives from two cutting edge record labels in the house/tech house scene: Jay-You (one of the co-founders of PetFood Recordings) and Teki Latex (label head of Sound Pellegrino, the sublabel of France's Institubes). Though PetFood is US-based and Sound Pellegrino is Europe-based, they share a musical similarity. Their releases blur the lines between house, techno and minimal with influences coming from Afro-Cuban to Puerto Rican jacking house to the “Jurassic Park” soundtrack. Be prepared to venture on a musical journey with two great guest tour guides.
