Prev week
can you please explain how you did the transition?

i love the atmosphere !!!
If you need an actor I am back to Paris.
Belle photographie en tout cas. :)
28mm is wide enough for me, using a 24 or 20mm will be too wide for the things I shot

Hope that even makes sense :)
the DOF of the 7D is easier to manage than the 5D one.
splendide merci
belles couleurs !
First, the cinematography of this piece is a strong point, is really well done: lights, colours, DOF and the shots makes the video very watchable. Some times you can imagine some shots in a feature film (like 00:53 sequence or 03:16), then you can see shots more adaptable to music videos like 02:41, and shots more documentary-like (02:59)
So the point is that you're showing a range of versatility. I advice that you can keep working on a style first and then try the others...
There is a shaky shots when the actress walk, i think this happened maybe for the tool used, i can see that you know how to apply AE, so maybe next time try to stabilize a little the image and see if it's better..
About the song, it fits really well into the atmosphere created by the colours and the tone of the video (kind of nostalgic, kind of cheerfull and a bit of sadness -hehe this is what i felt) so, nice composition there. And was a good idea mix some street sound effect to complement the music.
Last, the burned film sometimes transform a good video into a cliche video, i don't think this is the case because you didn't abuse of it.
Well this was my long comment, hehe.
Keep uploading vids.
cheers!
The different styles that we can have into this short film is probably to the fact that most of shots have been improvised. When shooting this short, I has some bad feelings (when moving some stuff I found some old pictures of an ex girlfriend then I was sad & melancolic) I decided to shoot the day after in order to share my feelings.
About the shaky shot, I tried to stabilize it but I'm a begginner on AE and I was a little bit lazy to work more on this shot :(
I discovered and heard this song again and again when I found those pictures. I thought that it was great for that kind of short film.
I'm happy that I gave you feelings (it was its goal :) ) this is a kind of experimental movie, no really story, don't think just feel... and use your own experiences to create your own end of this movie.
Is she dead ? Was it just a dream ? or have you just broke up with her ?
Thanks to you Elena.
In May there will be a new one shot the same week.
David
Is great that you give the right feeling, sometimes sound simple but is the hardest thing to make.
So keep making this experiments with music, i want to make those experiments too but i don't have my own cam (yet) hehe.
I will be checking in May, then.
Cheers.
Of the 3 lenses, which one did you end up using the most?
J'aime le côté sans prétention, le 5D porté, spontané, proche de la vie, caméra-stylo :))

7d is the lastest oh .... but 5d m2 - full frame..
Lenses : 28mm f1.8 / 50mm f1.4 / 85mm f1.8
Are they Canon Lenses? Or Sigma? Zeiss?
I'm thinkinf of getting the Tamron 28-75 with constant aperture of 2.8. It would be a nice all around lense.
Then I would get probably 1-2 prime lenses with greater aperture like a 85mm with 1.8.
What do you think?
I'm personally using Super Takumars with my 5d and the quality is just Gorgeous for what it cost... My 50mm f1.4 cost me 45$... if you are doing video than you should look for those kind of lenses, i've also heard that manual lenses are actually sharper than AF ones...To make them fit on the 5d you'll need a M42 to EOS adapter!

Sensitive and charming.
