This is a series of sunsets I filmed while experimenting with time lapse in Sony Vegas. I used manual focus on the Canon HV30 but everything else is on auto.
Interestingly, the last clip shows what could be several stars or planets, possibly Venus (lower left of Sun) and perhaps Mercury (right side) even while the Sun is pretty high above the horizon. These were definitely not visible with the naked eye when the Sun was that high up, but it is picked up with the HV30 sensor. It's possible it could be a peculiar lens flare, though. Venus appears later, but much brighter, near the end of the clip as it normally would at dusk.
