Standing in the yard the air is almost still,
there is a sudden thud ,, near us.

I ran for the camera & found the dazed pup moments after she fell 40± feet to the padded forest floor. then on cue mama Raccoon heads down the adjacent pine tree . all to fetch her baby and haul her all the way back up to her hollowed out home.

music is recent discovery Rubblebucket Orchestra MySpace.com/Rubblebucket ;

    In Russia there is a cartoon film "Crumb-raccoon" which tells about a small raccoon who was afraid of all. And most of all it was afraid of the reflection in a pond. A raccoon (to show) terrible grimaces. Reflection too. And here mum of a raccoon has advised it to smile. A crumb-raccoon has smiled to the reflection and has ceased to be afraid.
    And I since the childhood very much loved this cartoon film and sang song from it " From a smile in hearts there is light. Even the rainbow will wake up from a smile. Share with friends a smile and in the answer you will receive too laughter"

    Very sweet story, something new to me about Russian culture.

    Could you sense the relief of the mama raccoon dumping that
    pup back into the penthouse from which the pup fell.
    & Since you're the musical type the tune was
    dropped onto the clip & nudged ever so slightly yet the changes in the
    tune and the clip seemed timed.

    I just assumed the edits were timed to the track. Actually I'm not sure what you mean.

    Just several points where there is an unplanned but seriously decent transition
    of tune and clip which match in an uncanny way.

    Wow....that's amazingly lucky! I assumed they were intentional.

    12 metres is a massive drop. I didn't know that raccoons lived in trees but now I do.

    They pretty much sleep & or rest in the daytime and forage @ night.

    I love raccoons and possums. We used to feed them leftovers from the table when I was a kid. My father still does. They wait for him to show up every evening. Good footage chris.
