*What is the IBA?
Saxony-Anhalt has lost around one inhabitant in six since 1989. The state is shrinking. For this reason, the International Building Exhibition Urban Redevelopment Saxony-Anhalt was initiated in 2002. 19 towns and cities are participating in the exhibition, which is being staged throughout the state, with a range of very different topics.
