version 0.9.20100405 (BETA) explores the way information technology has changed our perception of today's cities where the real becomes more like the virtual, while the virtual acquires physical qualities. Downtown Los Angeles is portrayed as a personal infrastructure transformed into an imperfect computer interface.
This short film experiment combines a variety of media such as digital video, synchronized text interfaces, as well as computer generated graphics. Continuous, real-life footage is, generally, given digital properties through editing, simulating the non-linear qualities of software systems. Computer generated animations, on the other hand, are treated as real-life footage by transferring physical camera movements to virtual cameras creating a continuous storyline.
