This is slow motion. I shot it 60i, converted to 60p, then slowed that to 24p.

I loev miniature explosions! What did you use to blow it up?

I used an exploding target which you can get at sporting goods stores. This one cost $2.50.

Back in film school we shot balloons filled with water. It was shot at 500 frames per second. Then shown at 24 frames per second (about 1/20 th speed). 500 fps didn't slow it down enough.
