This is the first "official" Grey Thumb Bay Area meeting at SRI in Menlo Park. The first unofficial gathering happening in April 2008 at Extreme Pizza in San Francisco.

Scott Schafer demoed his seminal experiments in artificial life with "Micropond."

Bruce Damer shared the GT philosophy, spoke of the EvoGrid, and showed Noble Ape, Darwin's Park, Gene Pool and Digital Spaces. He also spoke of the Biota.org site and podcast, and some of his work at NASA.
