This is the opening two minutes of my critically acclaimed and award winning documentary on The Battle of Long Tan narrated by Sam Worthington (Avatar, Terminator Salvation, Clash of the Titans) which was financed by The History Channel.
108 young Australian and New Zealand soldiers fought and defeated 2,500 North Vietnamese Army and Viet Cong soldiers in a rubber plantation called Long Tan in South Vietnam on 18 August 1966. 18 Australians were killed in the battle and 21 were wounded with the NVA and VC losing 600-800 dead and up to 1,000 wounded.
We are also developing a feature film on the same story and you can follow developments on our Facebook page - facebook.com/battleoflongtan
