Shoah Scroll reading on Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance day.
To honor the memory of the six million men, women and children who perished in the Holocaust, a new tradition was born on the North Shore. Temple Ner Tamid’s David Moldau working with Rabbi David Klatzker and others organized a Megillah reading to mark Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance day.
The beautifully written scroll is powerfully written, dedicated to those who were murdered, the resistance fighters, the righteous gentiles and the survivors. Nearly 200 people from the North Shore attended the event, which Moldau promises will be the first of a long tradition.
