Pleasure Beach was once a very popular summer getaway on the Connecticut Shoreline. Unfortunately, after the bridge connecting the town to the mainland was burned down the inhabitants had to evacuate. Since then the town has deteriorated to what you see here. It has become a ghost town.

Excellent. It's amazing this made me feel empathetic for a place. I smell a short doc in the works for Pleasure Beach.

Anything is possible! It's unfortunate but they are tearing the place down. Thanks for the kind words! I appreciate it.

Great work, there's nothing better than visually seeing somewhere like this.

If you're interested I did a short film on an old pottery factory called Spode near where I live. It only closed 2 years ago.

Excellent choice of music. It definitely drives the emotions higher. What is it by the way? Seeing the park bench on the shore line there really hit me. Every time I see park benches next to big bodies of water I think of an old couple sitting there, as they would the same time every other day. A certain sense of love and calmness. With this setting, it seems sad and almost like something happened to the old couple. But, like you said, they could have just left the place like everybody else did. :)

Great piece of work man. Keep it up.

Very nice camera work. I would have used either a blue or tobacco grad filter to give some life to the sky. I don't like the ferry horizon being tilted. Nice music - really fits the lost feeling.
