Live Carillon Performance from Antwerp Cathedral

A carillon is a musical instrument that is usually housed in a free-standing bell tower, or the belfry of a church or other municipal building (ref. Wikipedia). And Belgium is famous for its carillons and carillonneurs so I decided to record one of them alive as I was spending my Sunday afternoon at the center of the city. Forget the video part but concentrate on the auido! Every Sunday some carillonneur plays wonderful compositions using very big church bells and suddenly you can find yourself accompanying a tune, such as an opera aria from Verdi. This is an important part of the spirit of Antwerp, Belgium.
