William Taylor gave this talk, "Fear and Illness", on 9th February, 2010, at St Helen's Church, Bishopsgate, London: to our Tuesday-lunchtime congregation.

He took his text from Luke's gospel - chapter 8, verses 40 to 48, - “ … there came a man named Jairus, who was a ruler of the synagogue. And falling at Jesus' feet, he implored him ... And there was a woman who had had a discharge of blood for twelve years ... “

For other talks by William Taylor, or to browse or search our archive of over 7,000 talks (by William Taylor, Dick Lucas, David Jackman, Paul Clarke, Charlie Skrine, and others), or to subscribe to a podcast, please visit our church’s website st-helens.org.uk/ - there’s lots of other information there too.

We’re in the City of London, only a short walk away from Liverpool Street Station; with meetings on Sundays and some weekday lunchtimes. If ever you're in London and can come then you'll be very welcome at any of these services.
