plane to plane video preview
Some of the guys were antsy to see some of the video and some of the old timey looks that I could apply to it, so I whipped this up.
The real deal edit is forthcoming.
This was taken at the Poplar Grove Airport in Illinois (by Rockford, and not too far from Chicago) during their air-show.
I was in an L5, WWII era plane. I can't remember what type of plane you actually see in the video, but will have that info posted soon.
The first look is just excessively saturated, the second is a bleach bypass type of look (though a little more old-timey than even "Saving Private Ryan," and the third is black and white.
I was going to shoot at a 45 degree shutter angle, but decided against it because there was so much shaking, i thought it might look too strobey. I'll try a few tests on the ground with shots that might not be once-in-a-lifetime opportunities before I commit.
A longer footage montage is a-coming in a few weeks.
