In this clip of our Frank Loyd Wright series we look at two homes designed by Mr. Wright. The first one at 520 East is known as the Edward H, Cheney House and was built in 1903. It is a house that almost blends into small hill it sits on and shrouded in greenery. Then walk one block north to 636 East and one are greeted with the William E. Martin house built in 1903. It is a striking dwelling of rectangles stacked on one another.
This area of Oak Park has three other Wright houses that we will be posting clips of next. Here is a link to a listing of all of F.L. Wright's Oak Park homes.
