Canon HG10 + Letus35 Mini // I'm in love :)
My Letus35 Mini came in the mail today and I just had to use it right away :)
This is raw footage straight from the camcorder. Absolutely nothing was done to it.
I made the same mistakes with the Letus as many seem to do. First of all, most of the footage is shot with the Letus turned off. The alignment / zoom factor has to be changed (I need to zoom into the GG 'ground glass' some more in order to get rid of the vignette).
Getting all the settings right takes practice. However, I can't believe how well this worked out. I'm so proud :)
The color comes from the Cokin filter (Sepialight) and the polarizer. It was a hot and sunny day in Denmark today - June 2nd, 2008 - 30C+ (86F+).
I added some photos of the setup at the end of the clip. The rod support is from Letus as well.
Focus isn't perfect at all - that takes practice too. Maybe I need a bigger, external screen? and / or follow focus?
All in all, I'm so excited about this adaptor...
If other Letus / DOF users see something that needs attention, please let me know.

It looks fantastic.
adapterplace.com
and
letusdirect.com
Same company but two websites.
Price: USD 1100 + 400 (letus + rod support) + shipping + customs duty + local VAT.
A fluid head or some sort of motor is on my wish list...
I've been looking at one of those telescope mounts that some people use for timelapse movies:

Damn it! I want a cool setup!
I wish these weren't so stinkin' expensive... amazing looking footage.

Thanks for the explanation of the letus settings.
Im still wondering if you have to focus manually?
I think it's too hard to see the focus in the little lcd screen.
The camcorder is set to focus on the screen inside the adaptor (and then turned to manual focusing and newer changed after that). You are not supposed to touch the zoom or the focus on the camcorder after the adaptor is mounted.
Zoom / focus is done solely on the attached 35mm lens. It can be hard to focus correctly only using the built-in LCD. Some people use an external screen that is plugged into the 'Video out / HDMI' plug. However, I use only the built-in LCD.
