This is a video project I created for a seminary class (Jesus on the Silver Screen: Spring 10). The film is an attempt to explore Jesus' story in greater depth. While most of our first encounters with the stories of Jesus are important, powerful, and significant in their own right, we can gain additional insight in these very same stories by uncovering some often over looked elements within the story. Drawing on Gail O’Day’s text “The Word Disclosed,” as my primary scholarly resource, I will highlight some of the under emphasized and misunderstood components of the story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman. By using Flannel Board, the classic medium utilized in countless adolescent Sunday school classrooms, I will be symbolizing a shift from an introductory understanding of the text to a fuller and more enhanced story of the gospel.
The non-traditional flannel board elements were created using Keynote.
Created Using: Sony Video Camera, Keynote, iMovie HD (Spring 2010)
