In this video we examine common features that cause a diamond to take a hit in symmetry grades as seen on GIA and AGS Reports and as observed under magnification. Many diamonds on the market have wonky symmetry and this lesson plainly shows what those characteristics are. This type of symmetry grading is not to be confused with another type of symmetry we personally grade referred to as "Optical Symmetry" which we will feature a seperate video on.
