On Saturday May 31st 2008 I was watching the kayakers at the whitewater park feature on the Colorado River in Glenwood Springs when this guy rows his beautiful Lady and brand spanking new raft into the rapid.

The rapid grabbed the raft and immediately spits the guy out for a swim. The poor lady has no idea what to do and she's flailing around. The guys on the riverbank are yelling for her to go "high side" which she finally manages. Then the raft spins around and flips over sending her for a swim.

This is what happens when you don't go into a rapid with enough umph!

One of the Kayakers told me that the raft was last seen about 4 miles downstream...
