The Best Buy Mobile team points out differences in HTC Eris and Motorola Droid models.
I’m Rusty Harding, Sales lead at Best Buy Mobile in Chelsea, New York and I’m gonna tell you how the Droid Eris is different from the Motorola Droid. For starters, the Motorola Droid comes with 16GB of onboard memory whereas the Droid Eris comes with 8GB. Still enough space for all your music, movies, documents, and all the fun applications you download. It is manufactured by HTC and as soon as you start up with the phone, you can already see a difference. For example there are active applications I can actively do a Google search. I can also actively look at a Facebook feed, actively follow CNN, I can actively follow everyone on Twitter. All this I can operate with without opening an application, log in and wait for something to load. Of course, as you can see, there is no tack tile keypad. Everything is virtually done on screen. For some people they prefer the feeling of a physical keypad but if you want a lightweight device that’s easy to move around with, the Eris is the phone for you.
