In August 2005, the fifth national Sacred Circle was held in Pinawa, Man. One hundred and fifteen Indigenous Anglicans attended from all across Canada. Seven Canadian bishops, the Primate, and partners from Hawaii, Alaska, and New Zealand also joined the circle.
This video documents the historic gathering, chronicling the unanimous call for a national Indigenous bishop and the response from Primate Andrew Hutchison and the bishops present.
Exciting highlights from presentations by the Rev. Dr. Martin Brokenleg, retired bishop Gordon Beardy and Alaskan Bishop Mark MacDonald are included.
