A pair of siskins appeared in the garden this week but now they seem to have gone. Obviously just passing through. Still, it was great to get a really good look at this pair as they fed on sunflower hearts on the feeder. The male is the brightly coloured one (very yellow) the female is browner with a small bit of yellow. They are very small little birds, not much larger than a blue tit.
