Almost 200 first grade students at Mililani Ike school in Hawaii worked with artist in residence Wayne Zebzda to help create a kind of nature channel video about 8 insects using shadow puppets. The insects were the Butterfly, Ant, Grasshopper, Dragonfly, Ladybug, Firefly, Praying Mantis, and Bee.
This project was funded by the Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, Artist in residence and Art in Public Places Programs.
