This video shows Cutler Meadows, a grassy slice of public land on the west side of the Yellowstone River about seven miles from Yellowstone National Park's north entrance. During most winters, bison attempt to migrate north of the park in search of these windswept grasses, and they are inevitably chased back into the park — or rounded up for slaughter — by the Montana Department of Livestock. Now, thanks to a deal brokered by GYC and its allies — and the backing of our generous supporters — a limited number of bison will be allowed to roam across the Royal Teton Ranch north to Cutler Meadows.
