On April 23, 2010, the Canadian International Council and the Montreal Council on Foreign Relations were delighted to host Zbigniew Brzezinski, United States National Security Advisor under Jimmy Carter from 1977 to 1981 and Co-Chairman of the Advisory Board, Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) of Washington at a sold-out event in Montreal. Dr. Brzezinski discussed the key foreign policy choices that Washington confronts, including the search for peace between Israel and Palestine, the evolving relationship with China, how to deal with Iran, and the troubling and complex situations in Afghanistan and Iraq.
