Glorious! My nephew has Asperger's (the spell check underlined the word which is symptomatic of the ignorance surrounding it that it should not even be in the dictionary of most programs). It was very moving and the animation was weighty and full of flexibility.

I enjoyed this video tremendously. I have a nephew with Asperger's Syndrome and when he was very young it was impossible to get close to him. He could not relate to adults or to his peers. But his parents devoted themselves to helping him and now my nephew is 15 and a wonderful, loving, extremely intelligent young man. It sounds like Sarah can be every bit as successful with Joshua.

Does he have a vaguely British accent? British father or something?
  • Rauch Brothers plus 1 year ago
    Hi Liam,

A lot of people ask this. He was born in the UK before moving back to the U.S. with his mother at about age 5. Apparently, because of the Asperger's he didn't lose his accent.

Hi! I love this short. I think the animation is brilliant, and supports the narrative perfectly.
Makes Aspergers so human - which it is, and important as well when embraced.I definitely agree with the "thinking outside the box" element

This is so great. He sounds like a great kid and very socially aware for an Aspie, as well as an awesome kid, and it gives me so much hope.

This should be watched by any parents whose children have been recently diagnosed with Asperger's or anything related to ASD. This video can help those parents understand that they may have to face some extra challenges along the way, but there's no reason to believe they can't still have a great relationship with their child.

This is delightful. I can't wait to show it to my 7-year-old son, who has an Aspergers-ish diagnosis, and to his father ... who doesn't really understand my relationship with my son, which is a lot like this.

cool wath program did you use to animate this?
it looks very hard to do
    thansk.
  •

    Michael -

Q&A was animated by drawing on paper. These drawings were colored in Photoshop and layered onto the background in AfterEffects.
