Introducing….camera in a box! Simple? Yes. Make-shift? Yes. Revolutionary? Ummmm….no.
During a recent shoot for the H.T. Hackney Company, the production crew from DoubleJay Creative needed to innovate a way to capture the inner workings of the distribution process. Lacking conveyor-belt sized cameramen, the crew opted for the next best thing, placing the camera in a standard distribution box and sending it on a solo filming journey.
Moral of the story: Sometimes the best footage is captured, not by expensive rigs and complex set-ups, but by a method as simple as a hole in a cardboard box.
