Going through a bee hive in the St. Louis, MO area, looking for signs of health. Of course, ripping through it like this really doesn't help the bees, but I need to control swarming in the urban environment so that my neighbors don't complain too much.

DigitalBishop 1 year agoOh you are not wasting that burcomb are you? Put it in a bucket and melt it down when you have enough. That's the best stuff for candles and cosmetics and other things. -
Jacob Kenner 1 year agoNo, any wax on the ground gets picked up later and stored. I usually let the girls clean it up, first, to get out any honey or other bits they may want.
