Schotland Event 2008

This is a short compilation of a two days Highland festival held in Almere. One of these days contains a Pipes & Drums band championship. My band also participated. We ended up with two prizes, First prize for best Grade 5 band, and First prize for best Drumcorps Grade 5. Seems like we will play in Grade 4 next year!
I was quite amazed by the quality of the sound. I used the Rode Videomic, which did a great job of catching the sound of the pipes and drums.
I finally bougt a good quality (Manfrotto) monopod so I hope I'll get some better (less shaky) footage next time. Still practising with this little camera, but I love it!
Canon HV30, Rode Videomic, Twoneil 35mm Adapter, Nikon 50mm 1.8, few Steadycam shots (Hague MMC).

you got Hage mini motion cam-stabilizer?
I hope to get it this time.
Is it also available with 35mm adapter + lenses?
I heard it can support only up to 0.8kg...
Thanks.
Thank you!!
Yes I have Hague MMC. I think it's nice small stabalizer, I can say it does very nice job after you practise a bit.
It's not possible to mount your camera with 35mm adapter, unfortunately... It's too heavy for that. You will need something like Merlin Steadicam for that. But you can mount Wide angle lense on Hague MMC if you want, which is nice too!
Thank you!
rowan.
need to check Merlin from now on.
thanks for your advise!
Anyway, I love your footage!
see u again
