1. Norwich: People And Places
This is a short film made at an ICOMOS-UK (International Council on Monuments and Sites UK) one-day workshop in Norwich on 6 March 2008. This film gives a flavour of one aim of the day which was to show how Norwich has used its heritage to promote the city and encourage its development and prosperity. Much of this has been led by Norwich HEART, based at the city's Guildhall. The workshop and tours were attended by people who work in the fields of culture, heritage and local agencies and we were delighted that it turned out to be such an informative and thought-provoking day. The warm welcome of our hosts reflected the pride with which so many people in Norwich speak about their city. We hope you get a flavour of this in this film.

The film was taken and edited by the film unit at boilerhouse.co.uk

Considering the short run time of the film you have achieved the objective. Well done!

Thank you, Colin for your comment. Yes, it is always a delicate balance between conveying an event like this properly and not creating something that is too long to watch! It is intended only as a flavour and should be viewed with the accompanying information on our website (which will also shortly be relaunched as a blog!)
