We are very proud to present this extended piece for the Community Education Group, located in Washington, DC. From their mission statement:
"CEG is a not-for-profit organization originally incorporated in Washington, D.C. in 1993 as the National Women and HIV/AIDS Project (NWAP). CEG focuses on the creation and expansion of programs and projects, which address the health, socioeconomic, environmental and systemic challenges facing the African American family. We are dedicated to helping communities hardest hit by HIV/AIDS and other health disparities, and the community-based organizations that serve them. motto, “Building stronger communities, one project at a time”, illustrates our mission and commitment to capacity building."
Bruce Liffiton of Visual Edge Productions met A. Toni Young, the Executive Director, while on a shoot and was inspired to create a piece that could help CEG with their outreach and publicity. His business partner, Gonzalo Accame, conducted the interviews while Bruce shot using the Canon 5DMkII. The piece was then edited by Gonzalo here at Visual Edge.
Please visit CEG at communityeducationgroup.org/ to learn more about what they do and their inspiring work. Thanks for watching.
