Potbelly Pig Trimming
This is a video I made during a Potbelly Pig Symposium on May 4, 2003.
Dr. Arlen Wilbers was showing us how he trims pig feet and tusks without anesthesia.
The people in the video are all experienced pig owners. They either run pig rescue sanctuaries or have pet pigs at home.
The pigs complain loudly about being restrained and rolled onto their backs but are not harmed or in any pain.
When trimming the tusks it is very important to make sure that the tusk doesn't fall into the pig's mouth. It would be possible for the pig to choke or inhale it.
