"Tambourine Bruises" was taped over one day in March 2006. It has many inspirations, in particular the "Got A Good Thing Going" sketch on "Mr. Show." Others include the static camera of Buster Keaton's films and Jan Svankmajer's "Alice" (1988) which kicked off the project itself.
The original idea was to use stop motion animation. However, through a series of improvisations and mistakes, "Tambourine Bruises" became something else and (hopefully) better for it.
