6/7/08 (Lila, age 12 months)

Lila enjoys her first-ever piece of cake! Up until this point, the sweetest thing she'd ever tasted was fruit, so we weren't sure how she would react to cake and ice cream. (I think she likes it!)

Frankly, I'm surprised the cake didn't just melt into one big, pink puddle because it was literally 98 degrees in our house on Lila's birthday.

The cake was awesome, if I do say so myself! It was chocolate cake (obviously), with chocolate frosting on the inside and vanilla frosting on the outside. Yum!
