In this assignment I wanted to try and replicate the look of an old retro stock of film. I used After Effects to do the initial grade and grain effects, and then used Magic Bullet Looks to boost the saturation and contrast of the image to crush some of the blacks.
This was also used as a test of my new Sigma 24-70 f2.8 lens. I'm attempting to dial in where the soft spots are the focus of this lens. At 2.8 it can get very hit or miss. My plan is do some more tests with a wider depth of field. Somewhere near the f4-f5.6 range and see what I get. :)
