The Chasm
My short film shot with Canon HV20.
I used cheap homemade PVC "steadycam" ; ] (yeah, pvc pipes),
no filters on the camera
After long post-production, I can finally post it here : D
Thanks for acting & music to Kamil aka Prabab.

the acting was good too.
It's a little slow though, specially in the middle.
good imagination .. just get a good script :-)
1. The music didn't really fit the movie. For me it sounded like circus music at times, which was weird.
2. I can tell you worked hard in after effects to achieve the effects you got. But I saw alot of mistakes, such as the chasm not being tracked correctly and the green screen shots being off.
3. Your best bet would be to use a Motion Tracking Program, track your data, them import it in a 3D program.. It's much more time consuming but, when done correctly, gives incredible and realistic results.
4. There were alot of shots that took way too long, I ended up fast forwarding them because nothing was happening.
Anyway nice color correction! Good job on this! =)
ad 2&3 - I know some things aren't perfect. For the chasm, I used AE 2D tracking for shots, where camera doesn't move, but for the rest I used Boujou's 3D tracking and rendered over 8000 frames of the chasm in 3ds max
ad 4 - you're right here.
I would recommend Match Mover Pro for camera tracking. It's one of the easiest and most powerful tracking softwares out there.
Boujou is easy too ; ] It works well with just 1 click if the footage is good. As long as you don't need some more advanced features
