    Amazing.
    What an inspiration!

Good to see that some of the worlds smartest and most talented people are becoming educators. This is how you equilibrate the educational disparities between
    good schools and bad schools
between the rich and poor etc.

I see so much potential with Khan at the helm.

he's right about hearing it in your brain. In video tuts and things like that, you feel like the person is talking to YOU. When you're in a class the teacher is talking out loud and not really to anyone.

I can relate to this kind of learning when it comes to visual effects, motion graphics, etc.. everything and anything I've learned from that is from online videos.

I went on his youtube channel to see what it's all about and I ended up watching the first 7 lessons in Biology... and I had 3 or 4 "gotchas" that I never got in school... man this is fun. I'm sure to continue watching this stuff. I want to watch it all!

Exciting for educators in the US is that khanacademy.org no longer hosts the videos on youtube (since many schools block youtube).

I've actually borrowed Sal's idea in my Physics and Geometry classes this year, using video lectures in my classes. I have a class set of computers, and the difference in student attention is amazing when you sit each student in front of a computer with headphones and ask them to listen to something.
