After watching "The Strangers," Fellow Vimean Michael Brodner put a challenge out to the community. He explained the rules saying, "Take a basic 30 second shot, combine it with some really awesome sound and make it terrifying."
Here's my attempt at Michael Brodner's "scare" challenge. Unfortunately I broke the first rule right out the gate - running time. I'm hoping he'll forgive me.
The footage was shot on my Canon HV30 using the twoneil 35mm adapter with a Nikon 50mm f/1.8D lens. Editing was done using a combination of Adobe After Effects and Premiere CS3.

What kind of tripod do you use?
Here is one that McCloud is referring to.

Seriously though...nicely done (but to make it fit the rules, just use the last 30 seconds). Here's another tip for even creepier results, tilted angles and hand held footage. Aaaaand...go!
Did you do all the sound stuff yourself, or was some of that sourced elsewhere?
Good job.
Not that the visuals weren't brilliant, too - the classic tension mounting as you go up the staircase, the mystery of the backlit door that is ajar... All perfectly done!
Who knows Clan , it's not IMPOSSIBLE if you think about it, even though we live in different countries. Tell me about your idea, you made me curious.
Well done :)
Excuse me while I go and change my underwear :P
