The first Plain Song night commenced with music from Pseudo Nippon, Kurtz and PunchCutter.

Kindly filmed by Andreas Munksgaard at Stour Space

Pseudo Nippon have been taking UK venues and festivals by storm with their frenetic performances. Their sound is a madcap mixture of Japanese pop, hardcore and Electronica, with added dancers who have signature moves and dish out high fives.

In the short amount of time since forming they have shared stages with the likes of lightning Bolt, Dj Scotch Egg, Pivot, Drum Eyes, Team Brick, Lonely Ghosts, Pre and Bearsuit amongst many others.

Kurtz are a lo-fi two piece who have built up quite a following in south London. They specialise in scuzzy raucus rock, but dont shy away from intricate math melodies and rhythms.

Kurtz have been causing a stir supporting the likes of The Big Pink, Chris Corsano, Fiction, and Drum Eyes. They are definitely ones to watch out for.

PunchCutter is an East London DJ on the rise, recently starting up a popular night in Stoke newington, he has previously shaken up Stour Space with his weighty beats and faultless mixing.
