Went to Block Island for a weekend with some friends. I brought my camera along, much to the dismay of the crowd, lugging the 7D on a Matthews m25 head with the Zaza Slider for long hikes, through woods, beaches and rocks.

How did you get the dolly shots going down the stairs?
  • Zac Crosby 1 year ago
Oh the biggest secret I had, a stupid one at that. just turned the slide to be at a 45 degree angle along the stairs, and let gravity take the slide

What do you use to slow down your shots? I use a 7D as well and After Effects to make my movies. I have a cool video of a piggy bank exploding and I don't know how to slow-mo it : /

I shoot everything in 60p, so I just slow it down to 24p in Premiere

    what did you shoot in...30fps 1080p ?
  • Zac Crosby 1 year ago
I loved block island, wish I could spend more time there.

    I shot most of it 60p 1280x720

Nope nothing in front of the lens, wish I did have something, but all i did was stop down or mess with the shutter speed.
