First shown at a masked Ball invited by Marina Warner writer and mythographer and then at the Courtyard Theatre.
'JoWOnder And The Psychic Tea Leaves,' is an audience interactive performance in the manner of a mock Victorian Séance lasting 45 minutes. Using humor as a central device, I combine storytelling with visceral performances, blurring the lines between the fictional and the real to show how a performer can create a parallel reality in the minds of the audience. A chosen member of the audience drinks a cup of tea, and a process is thus unraveled by a collection of haunted musical instruments. While the audience soon believes that they now have the ability to 'sculpt time.' Pale manifestations and vibrations combine to tell a story of tale of two children lost in a forest, an ill fated mother, an evil seductress and an enchanted eye ball.
