June 4th, 2008, we had not-quite-a-tornado in Arlington, Virginia. The storm knocked out power and knocked down trees all over the Washington DC metro area. Here, a tree crew carefully cleans up a giant 4- or 5-story oak tree that was blown over onto a Victorian house from the 1880s. Since our neighborhood had no power, no TV, no Internet, the neighbors were all out walking around and watching tree crews like this one.
