Here is a video of my 48" LEG P-51 flying at Mormon Lake Overlook (AZ) last Wednesday. It was blowing in the mid-twenties, straight into the right side mini-bowl... plenty of lift for the 44 ounce'r.
This was the first time trying to video a "fast" glider. The P-51 flies with a lot more speed than my Le Fish or Weasel, making it a bit more difficult to fly close to the camera. The P-51 "wants" to fly free and fast. The compromise was to shoot wide angle and do a lot more turning... but not so much that I "scrubbed" off all the speed.
I think my next warbird will have to have a working rudder so I can do snap rolls, spins and tumbles.
